Everec collects no data. None.
Everec is a voice recorder for iPhone and iPad that runs entirely on your device.
Everec uses the microphone only while you are recording. The permission prompt explains this before the system dialog appears. Audio never leaves the device except if you export or share a file yourself, or turn on Copy to a Folder (below).
Everec asks to send notifications so it can warn you during a recording — when a call has paused it, when no sound reaches the microphone, or when storage runs out. They are scheduled on your device; there is no push service and no server. You can turn them off in the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Everec.
When you share an audio or video file to Everec from another app, the Everec share extension copies it into storage that only Everec can use on your device, and Everec adds it to your library the next time it opens. Files you pick with Import Audio… are copied the same way. Nothing is uploaded, and Everec reads only the files you give it.
Optional, off by default. If you turn it on, Everec writes a copy of every new recording — and its transcript as text, if you choose — to a folder you pick. Everec never reads back, changes, or deletes anything in that folder. If the folder is in iCloud Drive or in another app’s storage, that service stores and syncs the copies under your account and its own terms; they never reach us. Copies of encrypted recordings are made only if you allow it, and those copies are not encrypted.
Encryption happens on your device. There is no Everec account and no developer server that can open a recording or reset a lock.
If you share or export a recording, that copy leaves the device the way you send it.
Everec Pro is optional. It is sold as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial on yearly) or as a one-time lifetime unlock. Pro includes unlimited encrypted recordings, unlimited on-device transcription, a decoy library and recovery phrase, subtitle and batch export, lossless recording, and alternate app icons. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; the app never sees your payment details or Apple Account. Entitlement status is kept by the App Store (so you can restore it on a new device) and cached on your device. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s own privacy policy.
The app is suitable for all ages and, consistent with the above, collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date will change.
