MeshGlaze is an iPad and iPhone app for painting 3D models that runs entirely on your device.

• No data collection. The app does not send personal information, usage data, or analytics to us.
• Your models stay on your device. The 3D files you import, the paintings you make, reference pictures you open, and the files you export are processed only on your device. The app does not upload them to our servers. You choose where to save or share exported files.
• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
• No third parties. There are no ads, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs.
• Local storage only. Your projects, their names and previews, original models, paintings, undo/redo history, brush and palette settings, view and reference images are stored only on your device (and in your device backups, which you control). Deleting a project removes its local files. Deleting the app deletes all locally saved projects and settings.
• Works offline. The app needs no internet connection to paint. The App Store uses a network connection to download the app, load purchase information, buy the export unlock or restore a purchase.

Files you open and share

When you import a model, the app reads the file you picked and keeps a local copy in your project so you can continue painting later. A reference image is decoded and cached on the device only. You can view it beside the model and sample colors from it with the eyedropper. A 3MF exported by MeshGlaze 2.0 includes the original model, settings and final painting so it can reopen as a project. The earlier stroke history and the reference image file are not included in the export; any colors you paint with are part of your painting. When you export, the app creates the file on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet — where it goes from there is entirely your choice.

In-app purchase

The app offers an optional one-time purchase ("Unlock Export") that unlocks exporting painted models. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; the app never sees your payment details or Apple Account. The unlock status is kept by the App Store (so you can restore it on a new device) and cached on your device. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and, consistent with the above, collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the "Last updated" date will change.
