Loopy Letters — Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The app sends us no data about your child: not their name, not their writing and not how they use it.

Loopy Letters is the English edition of Plumélio, a handwriting practice app for iPhone and iPad published by druidori s.r.o. It includes US print and cursive, UK print, selected joins and joined writing, and French cursive. By default the app follows the device language; you can choose the handwriting in onboarding or Settings. On a device set to French, the same app appears as Plumélio. On Android, the same handwriting is part of a single app on Google Play that also includes the handwriting of other languages and countries; this policy covers it too. This policy describes the data the app keeps and the information you choose to send us when you ask for help.

Data kept on the device

The app works without an account, without advertising and without any analytics or tracking tools. Exercises and the scoring of the writing happen on the device.

None of this is sent to our servers. We cannot see the name, the texts, the progress or the writing saved in the app. Letters are read aloud with the voice built into iOS, on the device. On Android, the device’s text-to-speech reads them; the app passes it only the letter or word to read.

Backups and new devices

Data on the device can be part of its backups, depending on your Apple settings. Loopy Letters does not sync exercises through a service of its own. You manage backups in the settings of your device or Apple Account; we have no access to them.

On Android, data on the device can be part of its Android backup, depending on your device settings; we have no access to it either.

Keeping and deleting data

Local data stays on the device until it is deleted or replaced. Deleting it does not remove older Apple backups.

Purchases

Warm-ups, numbers, capitals A and M, and the first row of letter pairs or syllables are free in every handwriting. The US collection also includes i, u, e, l, a, m and “mom”; the UK collection includes c, o, a, d, m, u and “mum”; the French collection includes i, u, e, l, a, m and “ami”. One optional purchase, Everything (called Tout l’alphabet in French), unlocks every letter, pair and word in all three. Apple processes the purchase through the App Store; the app only learns whether everything is unlocked and never receives payment details. Restoring the purchase needs the same Apple Account. Family Sharing is supported.

Apple describes its own processing in the Apple Privacy Policy.

On Android, Google Play processes the purchase, which unlocks every handwriting in the app. The app only learns whether everything is unlocked and never receives payment details. Restoring needs the same Google account. Google Play Family Library does not share in-app purchases. Google describes its own processing in the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

Loopy Letters is made for children. It collects no personal information from them, so there is nothing for us to share, sell or use for advertising. The name is optional; a nickname works too. Links out of the app, the purchase and opening a support email are protected by a question for a grown-up.

If you write to us

You can email info@druidori.com. We then receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. Writing to us is optional and separate from the exercises.

We use this information only to answer your request and follow up on it. It is available to the people who handle support and to the email provider needed for the exchange (WEDOS). We keep it while the request is handled and followed up, then delete it once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer or a dispute is pending. Please do not send your child’s full name or their work; if a screenshot helps, hide personal details first.

Your rights and our contact

For information you sent us, you can ask to see, correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to its use, by writing to info@druidori.com. This includes the rights of residents of US states with privacy laws and, in the European Union, the rights under the GDPR, including a complaint to a data protection authority such as the Czech ÚOOÚ. For information that stays only in the app, use the deletion options above: we cannot see or delete it remotely.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or from anyone else through the app. If you believe a child sent us personal information by email, write to us and we will delete it.
