Photo to textured 3D on your Mac.
Tungsten is a native macOS app for Apple silicon. Open or drop a product photo, optionally remove the background, tap Generate, wait while TRELLIS.2 runs on this Mac, then orbit the preview and export a GLB.
Click Sample under the photo well, or choose File → Use Sample. That loads the bundled pitcher photo.
Image features use Meta DINOv3, which is not MIT. Accept the DINOv3 License Agreement on first launch (or later from Settings → General). Decline leaves the rest of the app usable; Generate stays blocked until you accept.
The App Store app does not include the AI weights (several gigabytes). On first generate, Tungsten downloads them over HTTPS from Hugging Face, stores them on this Mac, and checks SHA-256 before running. About 6 GB for Fast (512³). Optional High quality (1024³) adds more. You can postpone the download.
A typical Fast (512³) run is several minutes on Apple silicon. High quality is slower. You can cancel at any time.
Apple silicon is required. Intel Macs and Rosetta are not supported. 24 GB of unified memory is recommended. High quality (1024³) stays locked unless this Mac has 36 GB or more.
No. After the model pack is present, inference stays on this Mac. Photos are not sent to a server. There is no account and no tracking.
GLB, USDZ, OBJ, STL, or PLY. Generate is free. Export is a one-time Unlock Export purchase. Restore Purchases is in Settings → General and on the paywall. You own exported meshes. Tungsten claims no copyright on generated files.
Inside the app container (Application Support). Settings → General has Show in Finder for the models folder.
